Labe
I built the editor I couldn't find
Labe turns an ordinary shot into a magazine frame right in the browser: grain, halation, print texture and color sit as layers over the original photo, nothing generated. I started it for myself, because no tool let me get that look without someone else's preset or a hundred sliders. It's a side project I designed and built alone, which meant owning everything past the mockup, from the design system to payments, A/B tests and error monitoring.
Interviews with creators showed which feature mattered most: Shuffle, a ready-made look in a few clicks. Not everyone enjoys dragging sliders, and random combinations often land somewhere you wouldn't reach by hand.
Labe also runs as a native iOS app, and every effect matches the web editor exactly, so a look renders the same on the phone and in the browser.
