Sbertroika
Three products for public-transport payments
Sbertroika runs public-transport payments across the country. I designed three of its products, Suda Syuda (a marketplace for river-transit tickets), the transit-card mobile app and the passenger web account, and built design systems for two of them from scratch.
All three share one problem: the person is standing, in a hurry, often outdoors and with one hand free. The work went into the shortest possible path to a paid ticket and a topped-up card, and into the states where things go wrong, because a failed payment at a turnstile in rush hour has different consequences than a failed payment on a sofa. Top-up conversion went from 63 to 78 percent and time to purchase on the marketplace dropped by a third.
